I think that you could ask $3500-4500 for it, since it is in good condition and is running good and has relatively low mileage for a truck tha tis 14 years old.

I would probably start with $5k and see what kind of offers I got. Anything over 4 grand seems like a reasonable selling price since your truck probably blue books for under 4.

Remember, the market probably isn't as great for lifted 2wd vehicles as it would be for a 4wd vehicle since that caters to a much more specific crowd, especially since it's a body lift. But overall, it is a clean truck and I'm sure there are some guys who would love to get their hands on a truck like yours.

BTW, I wouldn't mind having a gen1 L either. Those are sweet trucks and I've always had a lot of respect for them. If you do indeed end up getting one, you arent' gonna totally abandon us for the Lightning board are ya?

I hope he doesnt abandone us. NLOA is probably where he would spend most of his time, since our L section is 99% gen 2. But hey the gen 1s arent much different than the regular f-150s, so he would still be okay over here

Please stay

Well except for the fact that they are faster, have stronger trannies, and actually handle decent I sort of agree.

Askin what you're truck is worth is bout as tricky as askin a woman how much she weighs or to guess how old a woman is
I'm with TF, start with 5k and see what happens

I agree with starting at 5K. A friend of mine who works at a small local Ford dealer left his job b/c they were only selling 30 new and used cars a month when they should been selling about 50-70. He was pretty high up in the used department and said the market is crud right now.

I am not trying to dis your truck, but I dont think you will ever get $5000 for it. It is a really nice truck, but it is 2wd and 14 years old. I had a 92 f150 Ext cab 4x4 that I sold a while back, and I had to sit on it a long time before it sold and I only got 4500 out of it. It had a few more miles than your, but it had lot of extras.
I gave less than $5000 in my current F250.
The market may be a little different in Florida than here, but in Missouri it would probably only bring $3000-$3500.
Just my .02 Hope I didnt upset anyone.

Well, the reason I suggested $5k is that you always start off a little higher than what you actually want to sell it for. When someone sees an asking price, they will most always offer something less. So if you start out at $3500, don't expect to get more than 3 grand for your truck. The thing is, you can always lower your price if you don't get any offers after a couple weeks or so, but who's to say that there isn't someone willing to pay $4200-$4500 for your truck if you ask $4800-$5000? Ideally, you'd like to get as much as you can for it. You can always go lower but unless you're getting multiple bids, you aren't gonna be able to go higher. My dad is pretty good with stuff like this. He needed to sell his car before his lease was up and many dealerships would only offer $14-$15 grand for his car trade in. They told him he would be lucky to get $18 grand for it on the street. Well, he stuck to his guns and he ended up getting over $20 grand for it a month later. The moral of the story is that somewhere out there, there is probably someone looking for what you're trying to sell. So it will always be worth more to them than it will be to others. What it really boils down to his how fast you want to sell your truck. Patience will bring you a higher selling price, a lower asking price will bringyou more offers. It's up to you to decide how soon you want to get rid of it.

TF makes a very good point. If you dont need to sell it right away start it high and see what happens. It might be exactly what someone is looking for and they may buy it. If not-lower the price and see what happens.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.
Mark
