1988 Tranny?
I posted this in the Transmission forum,
but decided it probably belonged here..
How do you decide if
your tranny is a Mazda or VF?
And the gear ratio?
the tran code on the door says "M"
if that helps..
Called 15 salvage yards today and
found 1 transmission for $450..
Think i bought a monster

"M" is the code for the Mazdog; "W" is the code for the ZF. The ZF has diagonal ribs on the case, the Mazda POS has vertical and horizontal ribs. See pix at: http://www.motivegear.com/tech_info/...nny_guide.html
