Mass-Air Conversion

I currently own a 1995 F-150 with the 5.8L V8 and I was wondering if there is a kit that you could buy the can change my truck form speed density to mass-air?

Also, has anyone ever heard the Bassani Cat-back exhaust that is offered for the "pre97" F-150, if so how does it sound?

Thanks!!

It all depends on the trans you have.
Go to www.pro-flow.com

Go to www.pro-flow.com
Then go to online store and click on converversion kits.
They will have a list of different kits for your truck.

For some reason the E4OD kit is alot more $

Are you sure you don't have mass air. I know that was the year that they had some SD and some mass air. Also go to a junk yard and find a mass air truck and get all the parts off of it. I got mine for 250 dollars. Also if you have a e40d trany make sure it has a e40d trany. The computer controls the shifting of this trany.

I have heard the Bassani on a 94 5.0, but it sounds to raspy, and drones in his cab. If I were you, I would get a setup like I did, it costs alot, but the outcome is awesome, I would do it again wihtout thinking twice. Its all Maganflow Stainless Stell, piping is aluminized. Now all I need is some shorty headers. Take a look at my gallery, just click on my sig.

I guess I should just get the magnaflow setup that you have. Since I work at a shop I can get it all at cost so it should be pretty cheap. Did you notice any performance increase?

The performance increase for me was incredible. I picked up a decent amount of low end torque, but at high revs, the truck pulls like it never did before. My friend has a 2000 F-150 4.6L, and if we went at it, he would just pull away on me in 2nd gear, by the time I would hit 80 or so, he would be about 3 trucks ahead of me, now if we run, I can actually beat him by about a truck length. It is really that big of an improvement. I used to also get smoke by my friends 97 Tacoma 4cyl from about 80+, I mean he would pull on me like I wasnt moving, now I can hang dead even with him. His exact words were "Damn you have some top end now" We have run many times, and the results are always the same. I am going to add some shorty headers soon, I think that will even help me out more. The only thing I might change if I did it again, would be to get the 4" round Magnaflow "Magnapack" mufflers, like the ones that come on the JDM Gen 2 Lightning cat back, I hear that they give a louder more aggressive tone.

BTW can you get shorty headers at cost? I would chip in a little something for you, if you could get them for me for a decent price, well if you can, just tell me what you can. Thanks

Sweet, all my parts together were around $450, but the muffler shop screwed me over charging $373 for the install. But they were the only shop that would do it, all in all I am happy, but maybe I would have like the Magnapack mufflers better. BTW where yo uwork, do yall do mandrel bends? I know that no shop in all of Louisiana has the machine to do it, otherwise I would have driven as far as I needed to go to get it done.
