Angry I Need Help Bad!

hello,
I have a 94 f-150, inline 6, 4.9 4x4 automatic. I just changed my oil pan, replaced my screen, and replaced my pump. I had to take the motor off the mounts and jack up the transmission. The pan and pump work great. My problem is now when I go above 10 miles an hour, my check engine light comes on. The trany shifts really easy and the truck doesnt seem to want to go. Also I step on it and it doesnt kick down to the passing gear. It doesnt want to kick down at any speed! I checked the trany fluid and its fine! Anyone no what the problem is!!!???? I need this truck workin as soon as possible! I did take the battery posts off. The light only comes on when I go above 10 miles an hour. It doesnt really want to go when I step on it. I did manage to get it up to 50 but it took like 15 senconds! HELP!

Im not sure, but I think there is a kickdown lever that runs from the throttle linkage on the engine to the tranny linkage. Make sure you didnt bend that or anything while jacking up the engine.

As far as the check engine light, its hard to say whats setting it off. Id start with a visual inspection of sensors in the area that you worked and also other sensors. You could have broken one or pinched/cut the wiring harness on the body when you jacked it up. Also, Im not sure what sensors are on your transmission.
Autozone can read the codes for you and tell you what sensor it is. Otherwise you can buy an inexpensive code reader for $25-$30.

ck eng lamp

locate the self test connectors under the hood. ground the single connector, turn key on and read the code ( ck eng flash sequence) and post the code and the trans type and maybe we can help or have autozone scan it. be sure to state weather AOD, E4OD or (unlikely C6) trans.

My guess is that somehow you have disconnected the TB cable to the transmission. If it has no tension on it, the trans will not shift correctly. It'll just shift 1,2,3,od real quick and you'll never be able to get it to kick down. Also, running your truck without this cable connected will ruin the trans in just a few miles. To check the cable, I would start at the top of the engine where it connects to the throttle body and trace it back down to the trans. I think you'll either find that you've inadverently disconnected the cable at one end, or God forbid, you pinched and cut the cable in two when you jacked it up to do your engine work. It is easy to do since it runs right along the top of the trans as it comes back off of the engine. Let me know what you find and I hope everything works out okay.

TRANS

1994 FI50 should have AODE or E40D. both have an OCS on the end of the shifter. if it is mechanical ( plain AOD ) then the TV cable is the likely cause as stated by H O f150

MY TRANNY IS ALL SET!

Thanks guys but it was the fluid. I think it was in the back cauz it was jacked up. I warmed the truck up and drove it like 12 miles. It kicks down and has all the power that it did before. Anway it still got the engine light thing. Im gonna see if i can take the negative of the battery and let it set. Maybe itll reset the codes. Anyway thanks guys. Truck runs like a champ. FORDS FOREVER! CHEVY'S SUCK!
