Cool White Face Heater Controls

I got a set of white face guages on ebay the other day from procarparts.com, $35 total! I got to thinking, the heater controls will totally not match. I havent seen any aftermarket stuff to make them white, so I set out on my own. I took the factory sticker thing off and scanned it into my computer. then i did a bit of tweaking in photoshop and then printed it out on glossy photo paper. It turned out pretty good, but the paper isnt going to be very durable. the next thing is to find a blue bulb for the illumination. I tried to spray paint the bulb with some Ford blue, but that was just a waste of a good bulb.

I got to digging around in the shop and found a red vacuum cap that fit over the bulb perfectly! but its red! I thought it would look out of place being red, but i switched the buttons on my deck over to red, and it kind of looks cool! im so excited! my digicam doesnt work worth crap in the dark, so its just one big blur and the colors dont look right, but you will get the idea.
