Plain as the nose on your face!
Ok so you guys have heard we had a shooter out here in Crazyfornia, here is how it goes down in the MSM. Plus just a few facts thrown in for good measure.
This kid was a screwball, certified. In High School he would ask people to punch him in the face so he could "experience" what that felt like, hmmm. He was also getting some kind of psychological treatments, ding, ding, ding, can't legally own a fire arm. He killed his Dad and Brother, ding, ding, ding, even here in California that is against the law. Next he sets the house on fire, this might also be illegal in the peoples republic. Then he shoots a passer-by and hijacks a car, that one might have been someone else's fault, IDK. Then he goes on a shooting spree, killing and wounding several people at Santa Monica College where the Cops catch up to him and shoot him dead, that is the only good part in all of this.
The MSM says he has an AR-15 and a whole bunch of ammo. AR's are not legal in L.A. He also has several 30 round mags, not legal in Calif. And they gave a quantity of ammo that he had but the count escapes me just now, but it calcs out to about 38 lbs of .223. (yea right!). They also said that he was enrolled at the school at one time to study video game writing or some such thing.
Nobody seemed to be able to connect the dots that this guy was a walking hazard? Given ALL the gun laws and other laws he broke in his escapade, he still "slipped" through the cracks to pull it off?????? None of the new gun laws they are trying to pass here in Calif, or anywhere else would have changed a thing in this situation.................But...........IT'S THE GUN'S FAULT! Just as plain as the nose on your face!
So wadda you guys think?

The anti-2nd Amendment folks would argue (not would, they do) that if guns were illegal then these things wouldn't happen. I guess they figure that though these nuts, thugs and radicals break just about every law on the books, they are going to obey additional gun laws.
No matter how many laws the ruling class passes against the will of the people, even a big, bloated government can't keep us safe. We're on our own out here.
We're already handcuffed by the existing laws. The ruling class would like it best if we were in a straight jacket.

When anti gunners say illegal they also mean unavailable which are two totally different things unless you live in la la land. Just because its illegal doesn't make it completely unavailable. I agree less available but not completely.
You said: California is like a box of cereal.
What aint fruits and nuts is flakes.
True. And it's also true that "as California goes, so goes the nation." Unfortunately! The new California style gun bans in Colorado, New York, etc are examples of that.

Just a phrase I heard a long time ago that stuck with me. But yes the whole country seems to fit the box of cereal, and there are several new varieties available now than there were when I first heard it.
I myself have never seen an inanimate object kill anyone with exception of a time I saw a guy riding on top of a pile of mattresses in the back of a pick up truck. The thing flew like a magic carpet for a few seconds. But the landing didn't go well.
