Economy Debate: Romney wins big!

Any doubt in anyone's mind about last night?

You could have set the volume on mute and still understood who was making points just by the body language.

If Romney doesn't gain 10% pts. in the polls after last night somebody is asleep at the switch.

Yea Romney owned Obama. It looks like Clint Eastwood's empty chair showed up to the debate instead of a president.

Some of the comments I overheard this AM indicated that; the empty chair would have done less damage at the debate.

It was a blow out.

Romney took charge at the onset and never looked back. He showed a lot of leadershp and was extremely well prepared. Good qualities in a president.

IMO, Obama showed some ability (he is the 'Champ' afterall), but he was simply overmatched.

If it was a football game, the score would have been 35 - 14.

Romney controlled the whole thing, from start to finish. He'll win the election easily if he can keep this up.

It must have been pretty bad (didn't see it). Even the shill Carville said Obama was talking to a chainsaw. And Gore blames the altitude.

Romney attended Harvard Law and Business simultaneously. He's no dunce.

Obama was exposed as the fraud that he is last night.

I've always said that without his teleprompter, he is beyond lost.

That may be. The way I see it is, you've got one guy going full throttle to third world status. Then you've got another guy who will at least slow the momentum, giving us time to convince our fellow citizens to vote for people who will do only what we elect them to do.

I'm pleased with Romney's performance. About what I'd expect from a successful businessman. This isn't the end though. The Obama media is doing damage control and will be doing everything it can to take Romney down a notch or two. The Obama machine is ready to shift into high gear. We know what this machine is capable of.

I think you see it backwards. Romney IS a successful business man. outsourcing jobs to other countrys and closeng the doors of american companies while making millions of dollars he can hide overseas to avoid paying taxes.

I agree. Obama is full thorttle socialist/dictator. Just count how many times he has ruled by executive order instead of going through Congress. The system was set up to be a log jam specifically so bad legislation couldn't be passed.

Romney is a turd sandwich also, but instead of eating a giant elephant turd sandwich, we get to eat a rabbit turd sandwich. Neither are good, but Romeny is better than the other option.

The idiots who are still voting for Ron Paul are throwing thier vote away and have lost sight of the main goal. Getting Obama out of the White House.

You got every talking point from Axelrod correct with this post.

Which is better for a company, to send the manufacturing part overseas so the company can stay in business and employ some people here, and make a profit to pay taxes on, or go out of business for having a product that costs too much for consumers to buy ?
If the company outsourced manufacturing it is not closed, the company is still in business making profits.
- Look at that, Axelrod "adjusts" the story to make it repeatable. Not the truth, but repeatable.

If you need a wrench, do you go to a specialty shop and buy a top line KD tools or Snap on wrench, or do you go to Home Depot and buy the wrench that costs 30% of what the others cost ?

The battle cry of 'buy only made in the US', works to the point the consumer sees the price tag, then take the cheaper item ( not made in the US ) to the register.
People have the ability to stop this tomorrow, but they cannot afford stuff made in the US.
It would be great if everyone made a "living wage" ( not minimum wage mind you, these are 2 different things ) but what would happen to the cost of a BigMac if you had to pay the guy making it 22.00 / hr + benefits ?
- Only those making 80,000K+ / yr could afford to eat at MCD. Not exactly their target market.

This is the general comparison, on the other hand is the iPhone.
The actual labor costs are only ~ 50.00 more to have it made in the US, the problem comes to the manufacturing process. Foxcom will pay for prototype work and make it happen in less than 10 days.
The prototype iPhone that Jobs had, the screen scratched on it.
He said to change it, 30 days before the launch.
The contract manufacture in China got the scratch resistant glass, the tools to cut it, and told Apple engineers be here in 2 days ( China ) to try out some options ( all for zero cost ).
This is one specific example of how overseas companies go the extra mile ( and then some ) to make the customer happy.

Now you are accusing him of tax evasion ?
-> Got any proof of this ?

I think this will go nowhere, as some talking head only gave the sound bite to repeat, no actual facts.
