Though you might think that "general disscussion" means that you can discuss general topics, that's not the case here. There is a separate (yet not equal) place for this discussion, designed so that people who don't want to have to see the titles of such threads, don't have to.

You can talk about anything here in "general discussion", except politics and/or religion. You'll have to take thoes discussions to the area designated for them.

Who actually believed that Palin would really run anyhow?

The media would never give her a fair shot anyway so I don't blame her. Any conservative woman who wants to run for President will always have the toughest path to the office IMO. They were to worried about how much she spent on clothes and questioning if she was even fit to be a mother in the last election, meanwhile Obama was marching with the new Black Panther Party and visiting all "57" states and the media propped him up to be the next Lincoln. Why put yourself thru all the BS if the game is fixed against you in the first place.

As one commentator put it....." Sarah Palin is too busy being Sarah Palin" to run for office.

Besides, if she were elected, her vice-president would probably have to take over halfway through her term of office.

This. The problem with America is the establishment media and establishment politicians. The media has always thought that they know what is best for America as far as social programs, economics, religion, morals, etc. It's always been stylish to complain about our elected officials, yet when someone who is a good person decides to get involved in politics, the media trashes them if they do not conform to their own personal liberal worldviews. This is why you won't hear much negative about Romney if/when he gets the nomination.

If we continue to nominate/elect the same ol' same ol', America's problems will not be taken care of and prosperity for all who choose to pursue it will not be attainable.

Ironic you should say that, because when it comes to regard for the constitution, motive, and honesty, Obama and Lincoln are on par.

Everyone paints Lincoln as some sort of savior or prophet, but the reality is, he was one of the slimiest presidents we ever had, the only redeeming quality he had was the freedom of the slaves, albeit it took him until halfway through the war when he was getting his *** kicked to do it.
