I was wondering...

Can you guys answer this for me?

Why is it that when a Christian does something bad, they're "not really a Christian" but when a Muslim does something bad, they speak for 1.5 billion other Muslims?

I've always been intrigued how this works.

All answers are appreciated.

Thanks you
Habs

PS---> It's kind of strange how there isn't a single thread about what happened in Norway by the Christian dude, idnt it?

If it was some Muslim dude, there would be 10 threads with people demanding his head on a platter.

I don't understand what you're talking about in the first part, sounds more like an opinion to me.

Concerning the Norway incident, there's enough about it in the news. It is what it is, no need to debate.

I fully agree with you Habibi

I frequent a few other forums and as the news broke, post appeared stating "we should nuke the Middle East" and "Damn Muslims" etc which all went very quiet after the perp was revealed.

Funny that?

Mind you, nobody ever seemed too bothered about fund raisers for the IRA held in Boston and New York or Gerry Adams and Martin McGuiness being invited to the White House on St Patricks day either but then again, they were White Catholics and they were only setting off bombs on the British mainland

Funny I never heard any of that. It's best to let things unfurl before making stupid comments like that. But, people are people.

I'm waiting until all the facts are in. As an example, people (even a couple here) tried to blame the Tea Party & Palin for the shooting in Arizona when it first happened, but when the facts came out that couldn't be further from the truth. Lets learn a little more about this guy over the next few days before we try to lay blame squarely on his religion shall we?

Could be a matter of percentages.
If you have 1,000,000 Christians, what percentage want to kill all Muslims. .001, .002...
If you have 1,000,000 Muslims, what percentage want to kill all Christians. 50, 60...

My point is this...

When some muslim does some horrific act, there's no shrtage of people here shrieking
"Nuke the middle east, turn it into a parking lot"

You know it, I know it, we all know it.

Now I could've just as easily started a thread titled:

Everything I ever needed to know about christianity I learned on 7/22/2011.

and then I could've just posted a link to the tragedy in Norway because that's what you guys do.

Like I said in my original post, when a Muslim does something awful, he is represnting ALL MUSLIMS, but when a Christian does something awful "Oh, yeah but ahem, he's not really a true Christian, so that's not valid"

Do you see the hypocracy?

Maybe this photo will help you see it:

I have tried to explain it to you before Habibi but you refuse to see it. The word Christian means a follower of Christ, trying to live as he taught. If you do those abominal acts you speak of, you are not living as Christ and so you can not be a true Christian. It is just that simple. There are evil people that adopt a label. That does not make them one.

There's your answer Habibi, plain as the nose on your face!

Or you can simply follow the "he/she ain't a true Christian if they do something reprehensible" logic and chase your tail!

WARNING: The Surgeon General has decreed the above values don't apply to Muslims.
