Is anyone really surprised?

I dont think his show is all that funny, ever so often there was something funny but not much. I only watched about a month's worth then I stopped watching the TV altogether. Had better things to do.

I used to think football was rough...till I watched some friends of mine who play rugby, now it is a wussy sport.

Fox might have a bias, but they will have democratic people on to interview, they don't have a policy against having them on.

It was not a question of bias.

I'm on the edge of thinking about being somewhat concerned.

Has someone hacked Raoul's account? lol

I get all my need to know political factualities from Stewart.
Afterall, he's on the most trusted News network, Comedy Central.

I guess it could be worse. You could be riding a couch with serotta, watching Bill Maher.

No one here is saying that Stewart or his network is the epitome of political opinion, although like most liberals, he thinks he is. Anyone who has watched his show knows that he is a political commentator that hides behind the excuse of his own perceived 'comedy' and his network. And I find it telling that you are here to defend someone who bans certain political commentators from one side, while welcoming the other.

He is not, nor will he ever be, a Jay Leno or Conan O'Brien.

I was tracking but this confused me, shouldn't that be "He is not, nor will he ever be, a Bill O'Reilly or Charles Krauthammer" ?

No. Because Stewart does not possess the talent to be a first rate comedian such as Leno or O'Brien. Neither does he have the political acumen to spar on a level of O'Reilly or Krauthammer.

That is why he has a show on Comedy Central and not one of the major networks. The only people that tune into him regularly are of the liberal persuasion. In fact, if O'Reilly stopped his periodic references to him, Stewart would lose a portion of his viewers.

Thanks Frank for clearing that up.

Damn that O'Reilly! He's really pissing me off now.

People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband's policies or what have you, they care about children and that's been good to see."

Bill O'reilly's show is completely scripted for everyone! I used to be ok with it but it seems so fake its annoying. I do not consider Bill to be an intellectual. I sometimes tune in to hannity to watch the pollster stuff, but even thats skewed towards republicans! still cool to watch though.

I can't stomach that dolt Stewart. He is the ultimate spin doctor and the way he mixes his anecdotal opinion with comedy is purely deceptive in nature. It's an obvious agenda he pushes, and it's revolting. I weep for anyone who can't see that.

Whether you like Hannity/O'Reilly or not, they both allow both sides on the show. Now we know Stewart has a standing policy of not allowing conservative pundits on his show.

O'Reilly has stated several times in the past that he has open invitations to some people on the left that will will not come on and face his questions. They obviously know he does not throw softballs.
