Edge Evolution Bracket
Edge Evolution Bracket
I have a few of these made. Aluminum mount replaces the original pod. It doesn't use tape or screws to hold it to the dash. Instead, it snaps into the grooves on each side of the gray panel. Will not scratch your dash and is easy to put in and take out for data logging. Price is $12.50 each plus shipping. I will accept paypal.
Now, please keep in mind, I am not in business making these, so I don't have 100 sitting on the shelf ready to ship. I will try to satisfy everybody that wants one, but I only have a few done right now.
Available in satin finish(shown) or brushed for an extra $2 each
You can contact me directly at hotroddrummer10@aol.com if you want. Thanks!

You take out 2 of the adjacent screws in the module, and use the 2 stainless screws I will send with the bracket. 4-40 by 1/2" is what size they are. The module will stay attached to the bracket when removing to data log or update which makes it super easy to use.
It has a small angle on it. It is perfect from the drivers seat, I promise, you would not be disappointed. I tried several angles during R&D before I decided on this one, but this is the design and the tooling is already built.
I don't have any pics from the outside, I'll get one tomorrow guys.

Hey BlackPearl... awesome design for the mount! As people who screw these cases together every day, though, we have a suggestion:
The screw holes are very easily stripped -- even with the screws supplied to us by Edge! Therefore, using the screw holes to hold the programmer in place isn't a good idea. The other issue is that if there is a warranty issue and the programmer has to be sent back to Edge, there is a good chance that they would void the warranty if the screws have been visibly messed with because they would probably think that the customer has been fooling around with the circuitry.
Bill has a good suggestion, though -- and it's something we do with the programmer in our Expy (Edge doesn't make a pod for it), and that's to provide a piece of foam double-stick tape with the mount! Even if it's sent to Edge with the tape sticky still on it, the warranty is still valid, and trust me -- that little sucker won't be going ANYWHERE.

Thanks for the input everybody. I am actually planning on putting 3M double sided tape on the front for the people that don't want to use the screw holes. If you want to use the tape it is there, if not use the screws. That should please most people concerning the warranty issue. Thanks again.
That's great, BlackPearl.
BTW, from what we understand, Edge isn't going to be making a pod for the Expedition... that may be a HUGE market for a cool mount like yours. I'd buy one for my Expy.
Just thought of something else... you may want to put some on eBay because a lot of used Evos are sold on there, and many of them are sold sans the pod. If you had Edge Evolution in the title, it would come up for those people searching for used programmers. Just a thought.

Good idea GC. Thanks. I decided not to put the screw holes in the brackets unless the customer requests them. I agree with you on the holes stripping out. each mount will come with some awesome 3M double sided tape I have. I could also do adhesive back velcro if the customer wants that instead.
