15 years ago, a friend of mine from school and I both had Jeeps. I had a older CJ-7, he had a first gen Wrangler.
We were out wheeling some local mud holes when I got in a nasty slid off the high spots and high centered my Jeep...
Well out came the strap and we hooked it to my D ring in my receiver hitch, I advised he hook it to either his hitch, or his tow hook, but nope. he wanted to hook it to his Smittybuilt double tube tubular bumper.
It only took one pull and off came the bumper, just laying in the mud...
Fast forward 15 years, almost to the day, same guy calls me up with a mixture of nearly crying, and laughing. He now has a 2006 Super Duty, and was trying to pull his younger brother's Cummins Dodge out of a field they were working in. (Got off the trail into some nasty goo)... He was nearly hysterically laughing when he told me about how the conversation went almost like ours 15 years ago...
Long story short, there is a new Ranch Hand bumper on order for my friends Super Duty.
The saddest part?
If he had turned around, or used a ****** block he could have easily used the 12K winch on the front of that truck to pull the Dodge out!
