what if

would you give up your smoother riding IFS if ford offered a solid axel f150?
i'm sure this will not happen but i wanted to know how many people prefer comfort over strength.

I have an expedition but pretty much same idea. I think it would simplify a lot of things. And make certain repairs cheaper while being stronger

very well actually.

A solid axle can ride very well if set up properly and they are stupid simple to work on but every nancy w/ their coffee and office job want a truck where their 95 year old grand ma can ride in and not complain

solid axle ride is equally as good, many would argue its better, esspecially a good coil sprung one, like superflex coils. And since this is in the offroad section, solid axles kick *** off road, im putting stuff together to swap a solid d44 under my 93 f150, if someone offered I'd trade out both my trucks for 2 solid axled ones

bud i doubt ford would give a second thought on half of us motor junkies! they may make it an option, but look back. The last solid axle f-150 was i do believe the 79's up until they did the twin I-beam in i think 82. (twin i-beam) was essentially the first generation of IFS) i dont think we will get a solid front axle option in. Look a what city boys who buy a truck too look big and bad in and not know what an axle is, then the people who actually use the half ton pickup and need a SFA. Today the world is driven by supply and demand, and i don't see a demand for a SFA 1/2 ton.
