I absolutely cant stand it when guys come on here and just bash others trucks, or say things along the lines of "you call that mudding," or whatever. (especially when its some new guys trying to give one of the more active and helpful members of the site crap)

mhockey, your trucks bad a** in my opinion and i cant wait to see it all finished up.

also sweet pics and video, looking forward to more. Good luck in Germany and thanks for serving

and if people weren't into criticism, why would they post pics and vids in an open forum. they want people to see them and judge them, they just don't want to deal with it when it's negative criticism

Guys, anybody has the right to say what they want but everyone should also keep in mind that different people like different things. FATDAN460, what he's getting at is you have not been active until the 21st of this month. We also know that you drive an older truck and dont care much for the newer ones as you stated in the "howdy y'all" thread. Mhockey9090 didn't say he was against criticism and even joked about what you said because he apparently understands that everyone has the right to their own opinion. There is a difference between having an opinion and bashing someone's truck just because it isn't complete to your standards. I haven't seen anyone talking trash about your truck.
I think his truck is fine if thats what he likes. Look at my sig, I dont have a jacked up truck. That is because I dont have the time, money or desire to make it that tall but that doesn't mean I harass people who do.

i've already given enough info on it, so start with the insults
3'' body lift
6'' susp. lift
38'' swamper sx's on 16.5x12 589's
3.55's open/open
460/zf5spd.
i would've never insulted anyone on this site if it weren't for this ridiculous comment, and if you can't see why it makes no sense, you probably don't wheel too hard

Haha, you just didn't get my last post. Everybody likes something different and a mature person will recognize that. We aren't going to say anything like the lift you have is dorky. Your obviously trying to pick a fight but I really doubt people on here are going to start insulting you for your various mods just because you asked them to. If anything they will recognize the time and and work you have put in your truck and give you a thumbs up for the accomplishment.

You also took that last quote out of context. That was after you had already complained about how the forum was oriented towards the newer F150s and not your older style truck. If you were looking to talk about the older style trucks this is your forum:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/pre-1997-models-51/

You just went into the off-road forum expecting to find only older trucks.

i don't want to pick a fight, i'm just giving details for those who do want to criticize my truck. and no i didn't take it out of context and i didn't complain. i asked if this forum only covered late models and no one replied even though they were still online. they answered quick on the first couple posts and then they stopped posting. i was decent and left without incident. two hours later they start posting again acting like i was being rude.
why would i look for pre 97 trucks in the offroad section? simple. say what you will about ttb axles, at least you can make actual improvements to their flexability. and 97 back had good looks and less computer "stuff" to go wrong in water and mud. ifs wheeling brings the ghey hardcore. you guys have trucks that belong in car shows not on trails. you have a thread about offroad body damage and it is full of pics of scratched clearcoat. how do you guys take yourselves seriously? looks like you all work for stylin concepts, and get a huge discount on ghey gawdy chrome covered pieces that you cover your trucks in http://www.stylintrucks.com/ but that's just my opinion

Ok, anybody going to make fun of his truck?
...
...
...
I doubt it. Granted there will be some _ _ _ that will come through and bash your truck just because they can but they are just a 3 letter word I chose to leave out.

I see your point on the howdy forum because it was a typical case of people with different points of view that didn't agree. Here is your post that set them off.

If you read this with a smart _ _ _ tone how does it sound? Because that is how it looks like they recieved it. But I will NOT say that they had the best reply to it either.

Also, dont make such generalizations as to every owner with a newer style truck is afraid to get a scratch because that definitely a false statement. My truck is an '08 and it has its scars. The rest of that was also quite immature. There are more than one way to state an opinion.

Asking for trouble:
and 97 back had good looks and less computer "stuff" to go wrong in water and mud. ifs wheeling brings the ghey hardcore. you guys have trucks that belong in car shows not on trails. you have a thread about offroad body damage and it is full of pics of scratched clearcoat. how do you guys take yourselves seriously? looks like you all work for stylin concepts, and get a huge discount on ghey gawdy chrome covered pieces of chit that you cover your trucks in http://www.stylintrucks.com/ but that's just my opinion
Good: In my opinion, the ifs dont do as well because they are susceptible to complications due to water and mud. That is why I prefer my truck for off-road.

Are you seeing my point of view and probably the same as many of the people reading this?

Now does anyone want to get back on topic and talking about off-roading instead of bickering about minor differences? This is a blue oval club.

Its been a long day for me too but to clear things up for you sense you seem to have a hard time i am not doing an SAS on this truck. I will turn this truck into a Street queen once its done and take it to some local shows in the area.

But after going to these races in college station this past weekend ill be getting more into the trail riding with jeeps and such. While in germany ill be buying a trailer, jeep, and be looking for some quads to take out trail riding.

i can't ask for trouble, it's the internet, what can someone do? show some "real texas mudding" in this thread and i'll quietly bow out, but from what i've seen here "texas mudding" is about equal to the backroads i drive my cavalier down during spring rain season. you may not like what i'm saying, and i guess it is just an opinion, but this stuff is weak

mhockey, you have a badass truck, and even the slightest mud makes an interesting pic for me. mud is mud. doesnt matter how deep or treachorous it is to be interesting.

thats a pretty ballsy move there. maybe they arent right about their body damage but that is pure talking **it! i do not tolerate someone downing members in that way. especially someone who deserves more than that.

on a side note. this may sound wierd but you have a badass truck on 38's. love the lift and pic in your sig. but keep some comments to yourself.
