high centered in a swamp

so yesterday i got my truck stuck in a swamp with the ground about 4 inches or less from the bottom of my door and the back axle is just sittin in the mud. the truck that made the ruts im in must have been sittin on some huge tires because i am just completely high centered about 8 feet into the swamp and my truck didnt move with chains hooked up to a cummins turbo diesel on 35s or a dodge hemi on 37"s and im not sure what to do i left the truck there last night because it was miserable trying to get it out in the pouring rain all night. I am thinking i need to jack it up but i dont have an off road jack i just have the one in my garage but dont know if this will work

ogterror i wish you were close by too haha and i cant upload pics right now because im at work but ill try and describe how im stuck. theres a trail that leads into a swamp and its all real slick greasy mud and i was fine up until where the two ruts on the trail get real deep so the bottom of my truck is just sitting on swampy ground with the tires in the ruts and theres no way to get in front of the truck unless you have some serious mud tires and behind the truck is just a straight muddy trail thats just slippery enough that the other trucks werent getting traction

you may end up hooking several together to get at least one or two on solid ground

are there trees or stumps close by so you could use a come-along or a winch????

theres nothing but weeds for a good 45 to 50 feet around the truck at least...not that i have found a winch or come along to use the only thing besides lifting it up and filling in the ruts that i can think of is a guy offered to attempt to pull it out with his backhoe

time for several tow straps or cables, I'd prefer to get it or another truck hooked to something solid, it sounds like your just stuck in the mud and once you get some traction you'll be fine

Lowering your tire pressure will increase traction 8 to 10 lbs should be OK don't forget to bring a compressor to air up. Hope you don't have 22" wheels and skinny tires cause if you lower the pressure your tire will slip off the rim. You need plenty of rubber for this to make any effect.

yea its just alot easier said than done after 4 hours in the rain im thinking its time to step back and take a different approach because when you see a turbo diesel with toyo m/ts billowing smoke out the stacks and the truck doesnt budge it isnt a good feeling and im thinking its just wedged into the ground too far pulling it the way its sitting is useless

and i dont have 22"s haha luckily im on 18"s but the tires dont really reach the bottom of the ruts so i dont think im going to get traction any time soon even if i let some air out but ill give it a try

I'm suprised no one has blamed it on your flowmaster exhaust hopefully you can get it out with airing down the tires and a solid object to pull from

can you grab planks or logs or anything and try to beat them under the tires...
this always worked for us when we got high-centered on ruts etc.
