3 inch leveling kit concern

i wanted to look and make sure everything was ok under my front end today bacause i went with the 3 inch leveling kit instead of 2 1/2. and i noticed that my upper control arm has hit the spring a few times. the spring on both sides has little flat spots in them. i go offroad a little but its not like i baha the thing. anyone else seen this? ill post pics when it gets light out tommorrow afternoon maby. i dont wanna be riding along and a spring go flying off somewhere.

I am no expert here, but I do know there are kits which are offset to help avoid this situation.

I doubt your springs are gonna go flying anywhere at all. But your UCA always gonna rub as long as that 3" level is on it which is why most people tend to stay away from those. My 2.5 rubbed once in a while back when I had it on mine.

ya... I have the same thing with my truck... I have the 3" kit too... don't worry about it. Its not going to hurt anything, it'll just rub when you flex too much... I would recommend the bilstein shocks set at 2" over anything else - I might go with this if I don't do a full suspension lift

Yes, everyone here who says 2.5" is the max you should go is an idiot. What do we know.

I have a 3in on mine and its only going to rub if the truck is in the air or the front end has stretched as far as it is going to go. i've put on many and no one has had any problems with it hurting anything, so don't worry you good keep it stretched out with that three inch it looks better with a three!

i still need to get the blocks in the back. the front end is up a little too much higher than the back for my taste. but as for the rubbing i looked today and it hasnt got any worse so im not too worried about it.

Would Camburg UCA correct this?

I have the same problem with my 3 inch spacer lift. I was considering Camburg UCA. The pics of the camburgs appear to give more clearance around the coil spring. The outer clearance for wheel/tire is not an issue for me due to my aftermarket wheels. Would these UCAs correct the clearance problems mentioned? I also plan to ask Camburg directly about this.

Same problem here. If I'd do it again, I'd buy Bilsteins. But I'm this far in so, if something breaks, I'll fix it.

the extra .5 inch is not worth it!. like dude said, it rubs his springs alot to make him worry, and havent even talked about the ball joints binding. 90% of members say not to go with this and i would trust that statistic. your forcing angles that dont work for a long period of time. not something i will play with .

What about limiting straps so that the front wont droop enough to hit the coil? I know they are needed on long travel setups but would they work on a leveled truck?
