Sounds like a fun time though ! Just wait when you can walk back home and bring the FJ out for recovery duty.

I'm gonna be building a rear roll cage for my flatbed using tightly woven window netting/fine mesh to keep paws/legs from getting crushed. I'll use the "buckle up pups" harness tied to the floor. The "dog area" will be a padded rectangle using H20-proof vinyl over high density foam that will have snaps sewed into the bottom (and then snapped to the deck and to the four "walls"). Thus, they'll have padding all around. If you do it right, the padding can then be arranged in the tent for a mattress... If you live around water/boating this can be done for cheap by a boating upholstery place...
