I would be a happy camper with ARBs and 4.56 gears in my truck... At least an ARB rear and a True Trac Limited slip up front. (Do you REALLY want a true locker on an IFS front end?)

Not a fan of ARB. Nothing but problems. Its a huge, pricey, POS if you ask me. Every run we have been on, someone with an ARB is having issues, its a guarantee. So, stay away from those.

Most selectable lockers allow you to choose between a LS or open diff, or a spool type locker. High stress, and not meant for street use. A detroit locker has minimal amount of ratcheting, allowing the tires to slightly move faster then the other, and makes turns easier. If you apply torque, the ratcheting effect is gone and it's locked.

For 99% of these truck, a detroit tru trac will be best suited for the rear, and leave the front open.

For slightly more off road oriented trucks, that see less highway miles and aren't a DD, I would suggest a detroit rear would work GREAT.

If you really want to go crazy, I would run a true trac or a detroit rear, and an AUburn E-locker up front. That would be best. A front locker is fine on IFS.

For a truck with manual hub locks, a locker or spool is fine. When you want to be able to steer, you just leave one hub unlocked. For max traction, lock both.

Selectable lockers are totally streetable, in any axle. You just don't lock them up on-road.
