your budget is alittle steep but you can pull it off.

you need something to mount it on. WARN sells a hidden winch mount.

Id also recommend going with nothing smaller than 9k (im getting the 16.5)

With or without tow hooks wont matter. The frame is the same. The holes the tow hooks mount to are used to mount the winch. You'll be fine.

yeah i dont think it matters 2wd-4wd. its a tray that mounts inbetween the frame and the winch sits in it.

check out the WARN TALOR series

Mines gonna be hidden but not like the pictures above in the link. (with a body lift it would be half hidden.

Im going with a total custom front bumper with a winch mount in side it.

What about getting a front hitch and getting the cradle that uses the hitch so you can use it front or rear like this... http://www.realtruck.com/hidden_hitc...1008P1C1T.html

Talk about overkill

Its going to take alot more then that little hide a winch to mount that thing. Your going to need a full custom front bumper not to mention beefing up the from suspension.

Why not just go for the 9500? It's perfect for your truck. A good winch should be about 1.5xGVW
