Question How high is too high???

Not Ford pics but if I could track it down there is a 97 F350 crewcab thats higher than the first pic shown here.

I've always thought 4-6 inches were the highest for actually offroading. never could see going this big:

this is a neighbor hood kid's truck, think he's in college now.

this is a bad phone cam pic. Seen it at the intersection down from the house. nice paint jobif you still dig the ole sport truck paint jobs from the 90s

that first one is rediculous. it needs bigger tires. those dont fit the truck. the second one at least has tires that fit. idk bout that paint job tho. haha just my opinions tho

At those heights its pretty much a mud truck. In Florida they build them that big for a purpose, just watch trucks gone wild and you will get the idea.

Well... the first one is stupid high... There is no reason to have that much lift and those small tires... The second one I think is alright it looks good at that height!!! JUST IMO!!!

i wanna see these guys get in those things...

honestly, i say if it cant function offroad, its too high. but then, my idea of offroad here is tucking between trees and rocks. welcome to the inland NW, 33" tires 4" lift and midsize truck = the best starter rig for most trails.

There is definately such a thing as too high for a trail truck. However, neither of the trucks pictured are trail trucks. The second one could sling some mud though, assuming it has the power to turn those big meats in the pits.

If the kid who owns the first one ever falls out, he will most certainly die on impact. Thats just stupid high. The 2nd one looks good but needs a paint job.

I really dont like the first one but it does have an intresting suspension combo. And just btw its running 46" Baja Claws... so even if you go up to the biggest legal street tire 54" Bogger you wont be helping too much.

The only thing the first truck would be good at is a mud bog, that being said it would need some narrow tractor tires and super low granny gears...

The second truck is very nice looks to be running Super Swamper Iroks possibly 49" ... This combo looks alot better than the first setup and could be very functional in a mud bog or show truck scene. If it still has the front drive shaft!

i like that last one. nice setup.

one day im gonna build a huge truck and its gonna float. that is my dream, to build a truck that floats due to tire size alone.
