Angry Popped a tire mudding

This afternoon there was a crazy rainstorm so my friend and i went out looking for mud holes to play in. Had a great time blasting around on another friends land but right near the end i got a flat. Also, the tires i have suck offroading they are the discover h/t. it sucks cause it was my first time offroading and i wasn't supposed to be doing it and now i have to figure out an excuse to tell my dad.

Yeah that sucks at least its only a tire. When I first started driving I did a little off-roading hit a tree stump and cracked the front diff in my fathers suburban. Dealer didn’t warranty it LOL. I tried coming up with something but just told him the truth. All the mud under the truck didn’t help. If there isnt a whole lot of mud under the truck an excuse could be pretty easy to come up with (construction zone)??..

In the future, next time you buy a set of tires, try and get them from a place that offers road hazard. Any time I buy tires now I do that, even if it means paying a little more. In the end I know its paid for itself. I've had a couple of tires replaced or at least fixed at no charge.

Well the tire isnt fixable so ill definatly be getting new tires soon. Looking for an all terrain or mud tire that would be good on the road and in mud/snow. Got any suggestions? probabley move up to a 33' tire

Good luck. A 33" MT for $200 or less isn't going to be a big name brand. Most of the off name tires don't tend to last real long and don't handle real well. Tires is the one thing that you get what you pay for. I had a set of 35" Goodyear MTRs on my old F150 that went 70k and had another 10k of life left in them when I sold them. They were close to $300ea new, but they lasted over 4 years.

You'll be lucky to keep the tires alone under $1k. The only rims you'd be able to swing in that price range would be steel. When I got wheels and tires (305/70/16 (33x12.5)) for my F250 last year the total came to over $2k. Very few aluminum wheels were less than mine.

Wheels and tires aren't cheap!!!

My 285/75/16 BFG A/T's were $194 a piece. I bought them the day after Thanksgiving and they were having a buy 3, get 1 free sale. Under $600 for 4 brand new 33" BFG A/T's... A little more for mounting and balancing.

its gonna be impossible to find tires and rims for under 1k unless you buy used. Id say stick with the stock wheels and get yourself some good tires!

I just looked on 4wheelparts for a 285/75/16 = 33x11.5 and they have Mickey Thompson Baja Claw MT's for 209 a piece and some disscounts for you to choose from also.

BFG TA KO's in the same size are going for 201... Thats not bad for what you are getting.

Nitto Terra Grapplers in the same size 160...

procomp xterrain in that size 201...

procomp extreme MT in that size 206...

Super Swamper Radial SSR in that size 195...

These are 4wheelparts prices they arent the cheapest place to buy but ive always enjoyed doing business with them. And if you have a 4wheelparts store near you, just go pic the tires up there and save on shipping!

I say if you REALLY want to offroad it and show up your buddies get the

Super Swamper TSL in 34x9x16. $173 a piece

Im asuming you are a 4x4 just crank your torsion bars and throw these tires on there! They are light wieght because they are so narrow and they will dig just as good if not way better than any tire out there. (that are DOT approved of course)

I know these will fit i bought a set from a guy on craigslist for 200 for all 4, I put them on my truck then the next day a buddy of mine had his tires slashed when we were at my huntin camp. Well he was in need of tires so i sold him those for 600 and bought me some BFG TA KO's.

You can expect to get 30k out of these if you rotate them and keep an eye on the pressure you might see more if you wear them bald!
