Back when I had my 98 I had a shop put on an 18" SIDO glasspack exhaust. Was super cheap and good and loud. It also lasted a long time. Drove it on that exhaust for 8 years and it's still good for the new owner.

x2 on the glass packs. I had them on my 2000 ext cab F150 and loved them, if you want LOUD and a deep sound, I have straight pipes on my 2001 Screw and I love it. from the factory Y-pipe to lighting style exhaust (exits on front of the passenger rear tire) its all 2.5" pipe and no mufflers with the factory cats

You could always go with a Dynomax Bullet. I absolutely love mine nice and loud It is a very aggressive tone too!

I don't know about the super 44 personaly.

My 18" glasspack on my 4.6 V8 is easily twice as loud as a super 40 on my new 5.4 V8.

I just had a Cherry Bomb Vortex put on and while it isn't super loud it gives a nice low sound when you get on it.
