Houston area 4 wheeling?

Other than West Beach, Bolivar, or San Luis Pass, where is a good place to take my truck to get it dirty and have some fun?

Spring creek has some decent places to play as does General Sams in huntsville. Those are about the only 2 places that are decent. I run my 4wheeler at general sams quite a bit because spring creek has way too much trash and the trails have some deep holes that will suprise ya

Go to General Sams. Take 45 North. Fuel up at the Pilot Station at Hwy 75 (just off 45). Take Hwy 75 North to Bishop Road (about err..10 miles). There will be a Jeep size rock on the right hand side. Bishop Road will be on the left hand side a couple hundred yards past the rock.

Bishop Road is a dirt road. Take it back about a mile to the park. Have fun.

Hope you got a pressure washer at home, you'll need it - along with about 4 hours.

Website, www.generalsams.com

Spring Creek is OK for about 1/2 hour. Go there to see for yourself, you might like it, I don't.

I have been to general sams a couple of times. You can take whatever you have. From a four wheeler, dirt bike, ranger, mule, gator, rhino, truck, jeep, lawn mower, what ever. It is pretty cheap too. We usually stay out there, and it is abotu 30 for the weekend.

You would be able to play a bit in a 2wd after no rain for quite while. Anytime it has rained recently that place holds water forever and has many 3'-4' holes. I take my 4 wheeler there all the time, infact many of the trails are ATV only trails. If you ever are heading that way let me know, I try to make it out there atleast once a month
