LA cops suck!
Im not sure i really understand the story. Why were you chasing him down? did he commit a crime against you or a member of your family? Better have been a damn good reason to drive a 5000lb truck 100mph down a street knowing that if ANYTHING unexpected came into the road you would have niether the time or control to avoid the collision. Is teaching some punk a lesson worth the life of innocent people? Most of us have done it, and we all at one point or another smartened up and stopped such wreckless things.

I had a cop (when I was young) that stopped me weekly for equipment infractions - light out, loud exhaust, steering wheel too small - sometimes he worked really hard to find something. It was a hassle, but he was making sure I stayed out of trouble. After a while, I rewired the car with toggle switches so I could turn out individual lights. He would stop me, give me a 5 day warning, I'd go around the block (and turn the light back on) and make him sign off on the ticket. It was a game, but it kept me out of trouble. Today's parents would be calling the chief, telling him to stop his officers from harassing their son. My parents asked if what he wrote was correct, I'd say yes, they'd say fix it. Simple, obey the law and 99% of the time the cops leave you alone.

The other night we got a phone call @ 2am, it was an officer we knew calling us to pick my little brother up, he was outside past curfew. Thats the kind of officer I favor, that is really helping keep kids out of trouble. He was supposed to be at his dad's. Wish more officers were like him.
And before you posted that I edited that part of my post, about the details.

No offense, but it's not your parents fault, it's not the cops fault, if you are in trouble, take a look in the mirror.Obey the law and you are highly UNlikely to be in trouble. Think about it, IF you grow up you are likely to understand. I know a lot of people that have never grown up and are still having trouble with the law into their 40s and 50s... and like you, they blame "the man" for picking on them.
