It's got a 460 so i guess it's a 454 with a big crank, cam etc. i'm not too into the big block thing. 104 was the first true run. the gears were too low. we hit 104 in about 4-6 seconds at 7,100 rpm's. the second run the ignition was loose and it advanced all the way forward so the boat caught fire when we started! luckily it burned itself out . but after all is said and done it should be around the 115-120 range. i'll post some pics the next time i go up to parker az. thanx for the comments

Talking

Brings back many very good memories, both the sand, (reminds me of Waynoka, OK), and the Flat, (I had a Hondo flat with a 468 Chevy... that was before GPS...on radar at 118mph thru the quarter mile). Both were way too much fun! Too old & brittle for that anymore. Thanks for the pics

This fall we need to get a F1 group together and go out to the dunes. I live right here in gilbert/tempe but none of my friends own trucks or quads so I only have a few people to ride with, mostly work friends. I need to meet some of you AZ people and we can go bash our trucks or ride quads.

I'd be down for a Glamis trip. I'm out there pretty much every weekend during the season anyways. Hopefully people on the site will come thru though, cause this was talked about before but there wasn't a lot of interest.

Ya my dad brings our motorhome out a lot too and it is nice, but even if he doesn't my buddy has a toy box that he takes out so its not too bad. But ya even if something doesn't happen through here im; sure we can meet up out there one weekend and have some fun playing in the sandbox.

Thats Dan Vance, he races MDR class 1400, that is one of the best built trucks out there. Here is the video of the same jump on a different weekend:

Ya tenting is ok just as long as it isn't windy or ***** freezing cold. But I don't know if I could go back to tenting it after being so spoiled.
