Got Stuck Today
Got Stuck Today
So i was out with one of my buddies today and i decided to see if my 4x4 "worked", we found a trail that looked a little wet but not very muddy, and had at it. about halfway in there were a couple small puddles but nothing big, then, going through one of the last puddles, i lose all traction and sink down to the door sills. my truck is completely stock except for some over loaders on the back so as of now i am axel deep in some mud about 150-200 yards away from the road
since it was getting dark by the time i realized we needed somebody to pull me out i just said screw it, got all of the valuables and paper work out of it and called another buddy to give us a ride.
a couple buddies with some trucks are going to come and help get me out after school tomorrow and when i get out, ill post some picks of my first time being stuck.

Hmm wheel by yourself bad
Leaving your truck by itself bad
but hey we all live and learn and hopefully your truck will still be there in one piece. Next time you go out wheelin go with another truck. I remeber riding my 4wheeler out at a local spot and seeing a stuck truck by itself no one around matter of fact it was a single cab 4x4 F150 marron. a few days later we went out there and all that was left was the frame the right fender and one tire only because he sunk the hole right front side of the truck.

Out here in Cali, you leave your **** unnattended and it will usually be stripped when you get back (depending how long you leave it). Just think about it, how much do you see OEM parts going for on ebay. There is a lot of money to be had in parting a vehicle out.

im not worried about it getting stripped you really have to be looking to see it. about off roading alone, i not worried because i have 3 other friends with nothing better to do than pull each other out of the idiotic things that we get in to...

i didnt even think about my camera phone until i was washing the truck off in my driveway.

haha...glad to hear you got out...consider yourself lucky you had your truck intact still when you got back to it. use this as a lesson to never go wheeling alone, and always carry stuff with you that can help you get out if necessary, even when other people are with you...stuff that comes in handy are: a shovel, recovery straps rated for your vehicle (not chains!), a come-a-long or similar hand winch can do wonders, some short boards (2x6s are a good size board in say a four or five foot length - in case you need to shove something under your tires to gain traction)... i know most people dont worry with all this stuff but when it comes down to either leaving my truck for an extended length of time or carrying some extra stuff with me i will definitely carry the extra gear..we all drive trucks and the easiest thing in the world is to toss the stuff in the bed and head out...
