E rated tires on the dunes?

I'm having a problem finding the size tires I want (33s) without going too wide and with a normal load rating. I've pretty much decided on either BFG AT/KOs in 305/65/18 or GY Wrangler SA 275/70/18. They're within a half inch of each other in height and theyre both E rated.

My question is, how will E rated tires do on the sand dunes with really low psi? Will they flatten out enough to get adequate traction?
I'm not a die hard duner by any means, but we do go once or twice a year and I would like to avoid the embarrassment of not being able to make it up the big hills in my new truck!! lol
Thanks in advance!!

Wider is better in the dunes, go for the 325. at the same air pressure, there will be minimal difference in flex with a lower load rage - they acheive higher load ratings at higher pressures - and the tire is designed for higher pressure.
