No prob Wolf, I just found out that I can't do that weekend either. The next shot I'll have is going to be end of November. I'm gonna be in Maryland from mid October to mid November for some training. I wonder if I can get into any trouble down there...

Depends on where in MD you'll be...there are a few spots in Western MD and the Eastern shore....not much inbetween.

Where you gonna be?

Been there occasionally....that's barely Maryland though. You'll be inside the evil 495 beltway....yuck....traffic always sucks there. Most who live there consider themselves Washingtonians.

That's a haul for you huh? 29 south?

I have been inside the dreaded beltway many times. Yea, it's a haul, but I'll be staying at a hotel there during the week. I'll look you up if you're around. We might not be able to do any wheelin, but we can still wash down a steak with a tasty beverage!

I learned my lesson the hard way about wheeling an expensive truck. Spent tons of money in repairs. Thats why I bought a cheap beater to take out instead. Does pretty good for only having $1000 total invested, which includes the tires. And on top of it, I don't have to worry about what happens to it in the park.

BTW, these pictures were from Rausch Creek, just down the road from Paragon. I was there the weekend before this run during that tropical storm that rolled through. Anyone ever attempt RC before with a fullsize? I've wanted to hit Paragon with the Ranger, but I'd be running almost all blues and blacks, so no F150s.

nice rig

I'd love to try RC. What are the trail ratings like? are there equivalent trails to what PAP has? My truck is a blue trail truck. I don't deal in black trails, cuz my truck is my daily driver.

Trail ratings are like Paragon from the looks of it. There are Green level trails which are nothing more than fire roads throughout the park. I have seen fullsize rigs go out there before, but have never wheeled with them, so I have no idea if they ever leave those trails or not. I know the blues and blacks I frequent out there do have some tight spots that would get a little tricky for a FS rig if they're concerned with body damage. Heck there were a couple places that I actually took body damage, but I'm sure a different line would have changed that. That picture is actually a blue trail. Its one of the hardest climbs on trail 2, but it has a bypass around it. Best trail IMO to hit there is trail 12B which is the lower section, and the best time is when its raining. It basically turns the trail into a mini creek bed, but its got polished tree roots growing laterally across the trail.

I need to make it to Paragon since I'm only about 1.5hrs from there. RC is only about an hr for me.
