There are too many factors. Just go out there and see. If you get stuck, oh well.
Your 2 wheel dirve should do good in the sand as long as you keep momentum. I have a 2wd 4-cyl Ranger with an open diff and I can go alot of places in soft soft sand than most 4X4's just because I am light as heel and float accross it. It has BFG All terrains and it doesnt dig at all and it works great.
As long as a the front tires dont dig in. Once they do, the rears wont push. Back in the day my dad had a chevy luv 2wd with an open rear. Did really good in the sand. We did get stuck, got her moving and kept it going.
Just air 'em down real low. Don't be afraid to go as low as 10psi. I used to take my Blazer w/ 35x14.5's down to 4 psi. Never got stuck and never lost a bead. I have even taken 2wd trucks w/ stock tires out into the dunes. I didn't climb hills but just cruised around. With the 2wd I couldn't stop in the bottom of a bowl or going up hill. Do either of those two and your for sure to get stuck. Just remember not to turn hard and sharp at higher speeds!!
If you are in the sand at the beach, keep a 5 gallon bucket in the bed of the truck. If you feel like the truck is starting to bury into the sand, fill the bucket with water and wet the sand around the tires. It may take a couple of trips to get enough water, but it will be worth the effort. The sand will compact and you will be able to get out of trouble.
I don't usually air down the tires, but it is a good idea.
