Finding skid plates.

I was wondering, would it be all that hard to find some skid plates from a 01' FX4 on ebay or something, and just drill some holes and put them on my 01' screw? Or does it involve lifting the whole truck, taking stuff out, yadda yadda yadda. Thanks for the help

The skid plates will bolt right up. The holes in the frame are already there, as long as you get the factory skid plates. Also good luck finding 01 FX4 skid plates, there is no such animal. The FX4 was not introduced until 02. However, the skid plates from the Off Road package are the exact same thing. You should be able to use any 99-03 skid plates. The 97-98 plate might also be the same but I am not sure of that. So I would check before I bought a set.
