Body Lift Help

Hey guys. I am wanting to put a 3" Body Lift on my truck so I can clear some 315/75/16's. I did one on my brothers '03 Ranger and I remember it being a huge pain in the a$$....has anyone done one on a 2002 F150 or similar. Any advice? (Besides buy a suspension)..Thanx Guys

Set aside a whole weekend as you'll likely run into problems. Start lubing up all the bolts with either WD40 or PB Blaster a week or more in advance. If you have access to air tools use them. Make sure you have a 4" grinder with a good supply of cutting disks as theres a chance you'll have to cut some bolt heads to get them out. Finally make sure you have some friends with to help and someone with a car that can be used to run for parts/tools should the need arise. Mine took about 18hrs to finish but there was alot of corrosion on the bolts and I didn't have a real good selection of tools to use at the time. And of course everything that could go wrong did. A torch and welder would be handy to have as well, but not really required.
