Off roadin gone bad

well last weekend my buddies and i went wheelin in the snow again at about 8:30 P.M.

List:

2001 F150 - Me
1989 F150 - Thomas
1995 Tacoma - kevin
1967 F100 - AJ (same guy who gets stuck in all of my stories so far)
1990's jeep - chad
1980's jeep - david
1990's cherokee - pearse
1990's yukon - gary

ok so it started like this. we all met up at the beginning of iron mountain road. well gary was running late so we took off ahead of him. down the way thomas and i los the group, we kinda rallying the f150's. so we stopped and waited. well when the jeeps finally caught up. they told us there was an accident. we were like WTF? it turns out that kevin hit some ice and slid of the road. he woulda been fine except that AJ was following too close, hit the same patch of ice and ran straight into the tinny tacoma with the 67 F100 tank. needless to say kevin cut bait and went home. i still havent seen the toyota yet, but by the looks of the f100 it cant be good. so we are chattin and a few of the fellas notice a slash pile still going from the park rangers control burns. the dumbasses poored gasoline on it to make the smoldiering wood flame. this is a federal offense so most of us jumped in the trucks and took off. when the pyros caught back up we had a nice talk consisting mostly of stupid ****, what the **** were you thinking, you dumbasses. by this time gary pulls up behind us. turns out the bastard hit a deer on the way. luckily not much damage.

finally on the road again, for awhile anyway. david and dan in the 1980's jeep decided to stretch their legs. with the jeep in granny low, they proceeded to have a snow ball fight around the jeep. this was funny except gary stopped and then put the hammer down, of course sucessfully being the first stuck truck of the night. as we are pulling him out, AJ gets antsy and tries to go around the lead trucks. hahaha you guessed it, he didnt make it more than 10 feet before he got stuck. ok finally we move again, goin goin.......wait a minute there is head lights behind me. turns out AJ is yep, stuck yet again. pull em out and we are goin again, this time AJ in front. and he stops again to pop the hood. heh turns out the viscripts (spelling) that are clamping his battery terminals to the posts were coming loose. quick tightening and we are gone again. we made about a mile from 88 and started up a steep hill to go to the tower. thomas in lead, AJ, David and then I. hahhaha AJ is stuck yet again. bastard always cheatin us outa fun. so david blazes a trail round him. and i throw AJ a shovel and he digs himself out. backs up about 5 feet and digs himself into another hole. this done about 3 times before we bring the jeep back around and try to tow him out. two tow straps hooked on. we inched him a little, then the tow straps slipped off the jeep. hooked em back up and inched him a little more.

this is were it went from bad to worse. the tow strap snapped and hit dan in the hand cutting it open and dislocating a knuckle or two. he stormed off and AJ began digging again. Thomas chased after dan and helped the bastard out by giving a beer, smoke and resetting his knuckle....OUCH!!! with that behind us the jeep goes past AJ again and gets stuck turning around. luckily it is so light we just hooked up a tow strap and pulled the front end around.

through all of this termoil, gary happened to burry the yukon to the frame at the bottom of the hill. thomas his f150 down the hill, cutting a new path. tow broken chains later thomas had gary out of his hole.

now back to AJ, he finally was able to dig himself free, he backed up about 5 feet and stuck. dug himself out again and finally made it down the hill, however, he stopped and got stuck right at the base of the hill.

now everyone is down the hill cept me. i am backing down the hill but i cant see crap through my tinted windows and i cant make what rut is the right rut through the side mirrors. needless to say i ended up backing off the beatin path and into powder. i made it a good distance until i got impatient and hit the throttle to much. yep now i am stuck.

so we sent the yukon and the cherokee home, since they were all whining about how late it was. it was only 3:30....................................A.M. luckily david had a portable winch witch hooks up the truck reciever. i say luckily because we had already broken all the other tow straps and we were running out of beer. so we winched out AJ's truck, and then we winched out mine. so now we are looking at 4:30 A.M. that winch was hella slow. ok so now we head down, everyone is driving nicely down the hill. once the snow ended i started to notice david's jeep go cross lanes. he finally pulled over and told me was falling asleep. so when the rest of the people stopped, dan volunteered to drive him to thomas' house, were he crashed for the night.

by the time i got home and in bed it was 5:30 A.M. and well lets just say that worked suck donkey dong the next day.

it was however one hell of a trip i dont think we will every forget.

sorry for the long post bye the way.

Hey man.

Disposable camera. Dual purpose. For emergencies and accidents for proof and stuff, and four-wheeling frenzy caught on film! Everyone should have one for the emergency purpose, anyways.

Man.... as soon as I finish my modifications, I'll be sharing photos as well.

Anyone do much powersliding and donuts in parking lots? I swear my '03 Screw is more fun than the Bronco was when spinning around! I've got plenty of practice for drift-racing from last year's ice storms. Heh heh.
