I was looking at some lockers for my truck. It is a 2004 F150 4x4 4.6L engine

I'm thinking it has the 8.8 IFS with 28 spline and rear 8.8 with 31 spline.

How difficult are lockers to install?

There are two different brands I was looking at:

Auburn Ected

front part # 545001
rear part # 545002

Are there any other parts I would to do the install or do the part #'s above include everything?

ARB air lockers

front part # RD82
rear part # RD81
compressor # RDCKA

Are there any other parts I would to do the install or do the part #'s above include everything?

Also, where is the cheapest place to get these parts?
Thanks

looks like an 8.8 to me, but to be sure you should check your axle code on the drivers side door jam

Since I know for a fact it isn't a 9.75 then I guess it is a 8.8. I guess it could be a 10.25, but it looks too small...

Have you looked at the Eaton eLocker? They rock! and I had no problem installing mine. Even drilling through the carrier was easier than I expected.

www.macromotive.com for good prices

The e-locker is for the 8.8 not the 9.75. If you have the 5.4 3v you have a 9.75 rear and they are not available yet and not for a while the way it looks.
