2nd Post, Locker Question

I have a worn out locker in my F150. I want to replace it. it is one of the smaller (and cheaper) inside the stock carrier lockers. It was in a bone yard rear end I bought.

I am wondering if anyone has had any experiance with a POWERTRAX locker? What are your thoughts on them?

I know a full Detroit locker would be the best bet, but $550 plus $300 for install is just too much money for me to spend.

I broke the carrier in my orignal rearend. It was an 8.8 with a limited traction. Is that common?

I have the Powertrax NoSlip. It has some of the downsides of true lockers but also all the upsides with no noise. It has worked very well for me and I have hit it hard with my 430 gears. The unit is warranteed for 3 years against breaking. It is a good choice for the 8.8 rear.

I agree with WLF. The Powertrax L/S is great, can be had for right around 400 clams, and is simple enough to install yourself... heck, I did it!
