Differential Question

How do I tell if my truck has a Limited-Slip Differential. My truck is a 97f150SC XLT with a automatic transmission.

Bladerunner

F150NKY,

Where can you get one of the bladerunners? They look cool as S*%^!! I've done searches and looked all over the et, but can't find one.

I like my L/S rear. Especially with some of the winter weather we get around here. I had the powertrax in my old Bronco with 4.10's, you'll love them!!

Where are you in Northern Ky? I'm in Louisville.

PS

F150NKY,

You know they have to take the rear apart to put in the powertrax. If you're contemplating a gear switch now is the time to do it.

I am looking for the blade runner my self, have seen in on a few truck pics and I want one.

I am in the Florence area.

I found out yesterday that Power-Trax was bought out by somebody. The had suspended all their shipments until they get that all worked out. So I am going to be waiting for a while I guess.

Alternate Sources

I know how you feel when you can't get things quick enough.

You may want to try Driverfx.com or truckperformance.com, they both stock them. I've ordered things from both and have been satisfied.

The quickest way to find out if you a factory limited slip is look at the rear differential cover. If you have 2 metal tags it is a limited slip, if 1 it is standard.

My guess would be that your truck was built late on a Friday afternoon prior to a 3-day weekend...
