Unhappy Burping???

Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem?? I have a 97 w/4.6l 1-150. I have had a burping noise coming from my gas cap. I was told from the dealer that the cap was not sealing properly and it was a vacum problem. I got a new cap from the dealer and the prblem has persisted. The gas cap is one of the 1/8 of a turn types and wish I could find a solution to the problem. It seems to get worse when the tank get below a 1/4 tank.
Does anybody have a solution to my problem??

thanx, Darcy

Cherry Bombs

Hey Green, they sound great once you pass the 2000rpm mark. Not much of a rumble just a nice smooth growl!!!!
Paid 120can. for the box only.
Great upgrade to duals.

Please help on the burping noise people???

You have to be more specific. Is the burping noise when you turn the cap to remove? If so, this is normal. The cap is supposed to hold pressure so you don't loose fuel gasses into the atmosphere. The problem comes if it doesn't burp when you open.
BTW. you will get more replies for this type of question in the engine section.
