Exclamation Known Issues...

This is what I see/read so far as problems/issues with the 97-up F150 trucks:

1) Pitman Arms
2) Piston Slap
3) Cracks in driver/passenger side sheet metal on doors
4) Rough Idle
5) Cracks in Roof
6) Annoying rattle in dash behind cluster
7) Wind whistle from driver's side door

I, right now, only suffer from 1,4, and 6...

Did I miss any?

Many have reported leaking rear sliding window.

Further, there were a couple of recalls:
1 tie wrap added to steering column to hold shift cable
2 lug nuts

There are also a mess of TSB's.

A TSB for the dash rattle says it might be the evap hose with the white connector in the engine compartment. It is by the brake booster.

Question

Whats up with the Pitman arm? My truck pulls to the right even after 2 wheel alignments and new tires. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Gino

Unhappy

I had a clunking in the drivetrain, as well as the door crack. Don't forget the leaf spring recall too. If you go to NTSB websight, I beleive you can get a list of the TSB's from there. I know for a fact you can look up complaints by vehicle and find all the ones registered to the NTSB.

How 'bout the rattling drivers mirror, or the phantom wipe (GEM module). I've got, or had those along with piston slap and a door crack. I'm not sure if I should, but I still just love my truck!!!!!
