Post Axle rating

I have a 97-f-150 with a 8.8 and 3.55 in the rear. I was wondering what the weight the axle was rated for...(the SD info in the brochures claim a rate but nothing for the 150s) and is the rear axle a semi-floater. I was told this at one time or read it some where. the reason I ask is that I tend to periodically haul heavy loads (I have helper springs "air" in the back) and I know that I am above the GVWR. I guess to make this long winded post a little more concise will I be wearing my bearings in the rear and what should I look for? (besides a SD 350-450-550-650-750?)
