I have new 2000 s.c.4.6l auto with towing
package gears are 3.08 does anyone know what kind of job to change to limited slip or 3.55 gears. Also realistically how much can I tow with my setup? Truck is 2 wheel drive also how much cost wise? And will Ford warranty be good?

 

Well a limited slip will run you probably about $250 to $300. New gears will run I think around $00 to $500 depending on what ratio you go with. If you swap out gears and or add a limited slip I think it will void the warranty. You will want to check with your dealership to make sure. If you have the Ford guys do it you might be able to keep the warranty though. You can pull up to about 6500lbs with an F-150.
