Ring/Pinion changeout in Houston, TX?

Anyone have suggestions for getting R&P swapped out on my '06 2WD in the Houston area?

Thanks,
Rob

No idea about Houston but I would look for a 4x4 or off road specialty shop. The 8.8 is a real common Jeep swap as well so I would think they'd have alot of experience with that axle fwiw.

I got a phone quote from 4WheelParts yesterday for $1,100 turnkey. Wow! I thought it would be much less. I see you have 4.10s. How do you like them? I currently have 3.73s and was thinking of going 4.30s as many have said that 4.10 won't be much of a difference for me.

If your two wheel drive 4.30s would be fine. No reverse cut in 4.30. I got an entire new rear end for 1k, new axles, carrier, r&p. Love my 4.10s but I do a fair amount of highway driving so 4.30s would have been too much.

Regular preventive maintenance is probably the single thing you can do as a car owner to keep your ride happy and save money on repairs in the future. However, not everyone agrees on what preventive maintenance is, what you should do, and when you should do it. Let's clear that up, and give you some tips that'll apply to any vehicle.
