My 4x4 stopped working so many issues need help!

My 4x4 stopped working so many issues need help!

I have a 2005 F150 4x4 with 69k, my most recent problem is my 4x4, I used it about a month ago and it worked fine, then out of no wear it stopped working!! Now when you turn the switch nothing happens, the light does not turn on, there is no clunck from the t-case nothing!! It's not popping any codes nothing, from what I've read it sounds like the IWE but I'm not sure. I have owned ford trucks my entire life and have been a diehard Ford fan. This truck however is changing that! I've had so many problems with this truck, my t-case broke at 45k my ball joints went out, my steering rack broke my 4x4 actuators went out, my engine has a strange knock that I guess is common among 3v 5.4's and my tranny slips from 1 to 2nd. I've owned this thing since new and babied it and this is how it repays me. I know a lot of people that are very dissatisfied with the 04-08 F150, Ford needs to recall this entire truck!

You need to calm down and do some proper troubleshootin'. All the hep yall need is here - mostly in the relevant How-To Articles sections on this site, and via Advanced Search.

IWE troubleshootin' & R&R is very well detailed there. Start by following the procedures and report back. Guessin; ain;t gunna cut it.

Ball joints? Normal wear items - factory joints ain't the best - some folks go longer, some don't. Replace with Moog greasables and be done.

Engine knock? What filter & awwwl yalls been usin'? Again - there are definitive procedures to diagnose and repair these types of noises.

Trans slip? When was the last time you had it (properly) serviced?

Yer other issues? Chit happens - all of these have been known to happen on occasion - you drew the straw, is all. Not worth a coronary.

'Babying' yer truck ain't the same as performing timely exemplary preventative (not reactive) maintenance - you need to read through ALL the links in this post to understand what I mean:
