Whats the expected fluid life of oils still in sealed bottles. Specifically synthetic gear oil? I know Ford fluid now comes in the Red bottles but when did they stop being produced in the black 75w140 synthetic bottles? Buddy has two bottles he wanted to give me but wondering how long this stuff is good for in sealed bottles??

 

I would say 5+ years, I remember Amsoil telling me so.

 

Anyone know when Ford when from black back to the Red on the Motorcraft gear oil bottles?
I don't have a clue what time frame they did..
