Lucas 75w140 gear juice

Hey guys
I was out looking for amsoil severe gear at my local napa and ended up buying Lucas instead, it was on sale for 11 bucks. When i got home I started researching and found that basically nobody likes this stuff. Has anybody had good luck with this stuff or should I just take it back.

thanks

I personally dislike Lucas products, In my mind their additives are snake oil. I would wait for Amsoil to be ordered.

Yea, I know, here comes Takeda...........

Yeah I was wondering after so many people said to stay away from the oil stabilizer, makes me wonder what's in the gear oil. It was tagged for 22$ on the shelf so of course I jumped on the 11 dollar price tag...........oh well fool me once

Don't skimp on gear oil... I'm sure your rear end gears will not explode with Lucas... But you have alot of options out there...That have a far better reputation then Lucas...

There are many shelf brands I would use before pouring in a Lucas Product...

This is just my opinion: Asking questions about brands of Oil|Coolant|Gear Lube is like asking questions about flavor of Soda|Beer|Liquor that owners prefer....

Everyone has their personal favorite and personal experience...

I wish I could run the Amsoil, I have the Lucas Dino 80-90 in mine. (Detroit Tru-Trac). However, it runs very quiet and smooth and still looks like new after 20,000 mi. (the lube)
