Rear end swap

Ok, so I recently bought a 1994 F150 LWB 5.0 with a SAS (dana 44) under the front and 9 inches of lift on 37's. Well I am pretty sure the rear end is a 8.8, but I was wanting to get some information on rear end swaps and I had some questions I wanted to get different opinions about . Which rear end would be best too go with ? Keep in mind I am not trying to spend a whole lotta money here, I want a pretty strong rear end. Also when I do the swap am I gonna have too shorten the new rear end or will it just line right up ? Also keep in mind I am new too the running gear category .

Honestly I'd say drop to 35's if you plan to wheel it because the D44 won't like the 37's. The ford 8.8" if out of an explorer is pretty strong with its 31 spline axles, and can handle 35's no problem. If you insist on keeping 37's i would do a 9.75" axle or better yet the 10.25" with live axles.
