Regular Axle Yes or No?

Looking at getting a 2012 F150 to replace my 04. My local dealer happened to get one in that has about everything I would want except it has the regular axle. I initially decided not to get it. However after doing some reading about the traction control on the new trucks I am curious if it is as big of a problem as I thought. Offroading is of no concern. The truck is the 5.0 with 3.55 regular axle. Is the regular axle a reason not to buy? Thanks

10 years ago I would have said bypass it. Now, no problem. The traction control does work pretty well. I have the 3.73 locker, which without locking is a regular axle. Have never used it except to try it once. Haven't needed it. Had a 90 with regular axle and hated it, even in 4wd.
