Post thump and vibration

97 F150 4.6 82000 miles I have a thump and vibration going slow, it feels like a tire out of round but it is not. When I turn it is more pronounced. Could it be a CV Joint? Anyone know how difficult it is to change?

Rotate the tires and see if it changes location.

Could be you've got one of those defective rear ends with a limited slip that's more like a limited stick. There was a TSB out on a similar problem... do a search for rear end shuddering and it should come up.

Try looking at the slip yoke. Have you lube it? If not it could be going bad. I have had mine changed 3 times, I think it is a lubrication problem.
