Rear End Noise

Rear End Noise
My 97 XLT SC 4x4 58k (3.55 limited slip) makes a fairly loud noise when I shift from park to drive. It is the same sound my 88 F150 made when the u-joint wore out. The u-joints check out ok. The noise seems to be coming from the rear. I saw a message about some bad limited slip diffs but haven't been able to find out more info. Any ideas?

I also have a 97 xlt 4x4 and had a what I thought was a rear end noise. Actually it ended up being the slip yoke. I have had the slip yoke replaced 3 times. It appears to be a lubrication problem.
