Question Gear Change

I have a 97 f150 4x4 with 4.6L and 355 gear ratio. I would like to go to 33" tires and I do not want to loose power doing this. I would like to Know what gears I should go with and if this is a Project that I could take on myself, or hire a Pro. By the way I have 245/70/R16 on My truck now.

This is a job that should be left to the pros. Setting up a rear end is difficult at the least and getting the gear pattern set corectly is one of the main concerns, as is setting the correct pinion depth, then there's the backlash setting....... It would be money well spent to have someone that has the tools and knowledge, and a gaurentee to go along with the install to do the job. As far as going to 33's most say 4.10's are perfect for a 33" tire. I plan to go to 35's and I will have 4.56's installed at that time.
