Gears, gears and more gears
Jetpilot, what was your exprerience like when you first drove the truck with the new gears? Did it feel like it pulls harder, quicker off the line?
In your opinion, would 4.30's be to much, because from what you are saying about your RPM's, mine will be a touch higher due to the shorter tires. I wonder if I would just be asking to much of the motor and trans with my current setup to go with 4.30's.

Sorry for the delay in response (been busy).
Personally, I would think the 4.30s would be too much UNLESS you did a lot of city driving. I chose the 4.11's because I do about 50/50, so they suited my needs best. I'm not sure anyone would notice difference between the 4.10s and 4.11s, but I went 4.11 because that's what Yukon makes. I had heard mixed reviews on the Motives (cheaper), but it could be as simple as improper installation that could explain that.
As far "feel", I could feel difference, but remember, I had just installed the S/C days earlier, so everything felt better!!

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with the 4.10/4.11, but there is a slight chance you'll regret the 4.30s after you get them, and that would suck!!
Jetpilot, I think that you might be right. I have been thinking a lot and keep changing my mind on what I want to do, 4.10's or 4.30's. I think I want 4.30's but they might just be a bit to much for what I need them for. I do want to go to the track, but I also want to drive to work daily. With a somewhat stock setup (motor wise) that I have, I would like to be able to suprise people with the acceleration. I hope that I can get that with the 4.10's, because that is probably the way that I am going to go.
Well I have made up my mind. I am going to go with a set of 4.10's for the rear end. I appreciate everyones input on this thread. I will keep posting in here on the updates related to my gear install, performance and general information in regards to this upgrade.
