Were trying to put the axle back together on this truck, it has the 10.25 with the 7 lug wheels. the bearings are replaced, and new seals are in but we cant get the diff back together. is there a trick that were missing. We pulled everthing apart, including the spider gears, the pin and the locking screw. weve been trying for days to use pressure to seperate the the two axels so that we can slide the spider gears back in place.

Im pretty sure were doing something wrong, but the mechanic that is helping us says its the way it has to be done. Any help would be thoroughly appreciated, as this truck needs to be back on the road
